Ponyjacks battle it out in a variety of contests for glory, ETH, star horseshoes (honor), and loot. Here they put their unique traits and advantages to the test in games of skill and luck. We ultimately aim to create a small arcade, with opportunities for all types of Ponyjacks to triumph. To start, we begin with Battles...

  • Joust - (on roadmap)

     2 (or more) Ponyjacks charge at each other at breakneck speeds with weapon at the ready attempting to discourage, dismount, or destroy the opponent. Players can choose Ponyjack, weapons, strategy, and possibly "rider." Potential for rider to integrate new NFTs or NFTs from existing projects. Looking to get solid animations for an intense peak experience. Can last multiple bouts and run tourneys.

  • Ponyball - (on Roadmap)

    To be designed with community feedback. Will the Ponyjacks jump? Tackle? Trickshot? Volley? Ace? Defend? Pass? Smash? Something entirely new? Ponyball could be the next great web3 sport. One thing is for sure as we test and dev a beta version, teamwork and team composition will be key. We will use this game to add in some layer 2/3 traits and spice up the Ponyjacks as well.

  • Racing - (On Roadmap)

    Racing will be unique. Horse behavior on the track will be meaningful, deriving from actual traits and stats (with some chance and luck too). Mythic breeds will have a greater chance for sudden breakaways, Fires will have more tackle ability, Earths can box out, Darks can evade, Aquas having more starting speed out the gate. The location/weather will have an influence over the race as well.

Tournaments

 To celebrate the launch of the Ponyverse and the first 1000 Gen 0 Ponyjacks we will host a series of tournaments, some of which you can be drafted into simply by owning a PonyJack, no entry fee required (for early phases). Note that at least 30%, but can be greater (has been 75%), of rev generated from mint will go back to tourneys and events. For paid entry events, rev goes back to prizes and development. Winners can earn ETH prizes, NFT trophies, and special Loot called Artifacts, unique 1 of 1 NFTs that can give your horse a special bonus effect. Below are the initial planned phases and tourneys for the first 208 Ponyjacks.

  • Debut Battles

    Anytime a new Ponyjack is minted they/you get 2 free debut battles against a random owned Ponyjacks.

  • Weekly Random Draft

    Ponyjacks get randomly drafted to participate in weekly 1 v 1 Duel Battles, usually for .005 per win. This can be solid passive income simply by owning Ponyjacks and getting drafted.

  • You're In

    As Long as you own a Ponyjack, you can automatically be drafted to enter these events and earn these prizes. These are designed to be "auto-battlers," so all you need to do is choose which jacks to collect or combine for a team. Events will be done via Live show on twitch.tv/LuckyJack77 using a Dice Simulator and spreadsheet until game development is complete.

How Does a Battle work

    Each Ponyjack has unique Stats

    - Based on its RARITY, ELEMENTS, + JACKTYPE

    - In a Battle Ponyjacks take turns attacking and defending by rolling dice based on their stats until one or one team is KO'd.

    LIFE - how much damage a PJ can take before KO
    AQUA/SPEED - who goes first and how many times
    FIRE/ATTACK - how much damage a PJ can deal
    EARTH/DEFENSE - how much damage a PJ blocks

    SKY/INTELLIGENCE - ability to reroll any fails
    DARK/DODGE - ability to avoid attacks on rolling doubles
    CLASSIC - boost to sum on rolling doubles
    MYTHIC/SPECIAL - boost to sum on rolling 6s

    Base Stats

     These are the base stats for a Gen 0 PonyJack before any of their special rarity, elemental, or breed stat boosts are applied in a 1 v 1 Duel.

    Roll for Location

    First, you roll an 8 sided die to determine where the battle will take place. Each location will give a + 1 buff to all dice rolls to all PonyJacks of that Element.
    1 - Mountain (Earth)

    2 - Jungle (Life)

    3 - Waterfall (Aqua)

    4 - Volcano (Fire)

    5 - Cloud Arena (Sky)

    6 - Cursed Forest (Dark)

    7 - Olympus - (Mythic)

    8 - Colosseum - (Classic)

    Roll for SPEED

     
    The match begins with each side rolling 3 dice for speed and adding any buffs from their stats, like Aqua/Speed, Mythic/Special (if you get any 6s), and Classic (if u roll any doubles) - you add + X to your total dice roll.
    Whichever Ponyjack rolls highest will attack first. Plus, high speed can pay early dividends. If one side manages to get double their opponent's total, they attack twice before them. If they get triple their opponents score, they attack three times before them.

    The Sky/Intelligence stat gives horses the ability to reroll a failed roll up to the # of trait points they have on Speed, ATK, DEF, or Dodge. It's not a choice, it occurs on the first eligible failed roll.

    Attack and Defense

    Next, the attacking horse rolls 3 dice for ATK, adding any buffs from stats like Fire, Mythic, Classic. The Defending horse normally will defend with 2 dice, adding any buffs from stats like Earth, Mythic, Classic. If the Horse is a Dark breed type or has the Dodge ability, first it attempts to evade the attack by rolling the # of dice equal to its dodge stat. If the Ponyjack gets a double it succesfully dodges and takes only the minimum damage (-1). If the dodge fails, the horse still attempts to DEF with the typical 3 DEF dice.
    To determmine the result of the clash, subtract the ATK damage from the DEF resistence. If the ATK is greater than the DEF, the defending horse loses LIFE (hit points) equal to the overflow. When a horse loses all its life, it is KO'd, and the attacker is the winner of the battle. Repeat Rounds until a horse is KO'd, with Ponyjacks retaining any speed advantages they gained in round 1.

    Squad / Team Battle and PonyWar

    Battle types with multiple Ponyjacks work mostly the same as a Duel, except for speed, attack, and defense, each living (non KO'd) pony rolls 1 dice. The team combines all their pony's dice into one roll and stacks all stat buffs on top of the roll.
    PONY ORDER: Ponies are ordered in a line from most common to rarest, and from lowest health to highest health. Damage taken is inflicted ona random opponent each round. In Team Battle excess damage does not overflow into the next Ponyjack. In PonyWar it can. When a Ponyjack is KO'd it's stat bonuses stop being applied to the team's total.
    Dark/Dodge ability only comes into play when that type of Ponyjack is the target of damage and is rolled individually and not as a team. The first team to KO all of the other team's Ponyjacks claims victory.
